Most of the staff have many years experience of working with early years. Combined with the youthful enthusiasm of the younger members of staff, this makes a perfect balance. Three staff have worked for us for over ten years and a further eleven staff have been with us for five years or longer!

 Our staff are exceptionally highly qualified and we encourage them to continue training. As well as a Montessori Diploma, Clare has a B. Ed (Hons) degree and two other staff are working towards degrees. Two staff are qualified to NVQ level 4.

 Fifteen staff have a qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3 or above, which means that they are suitably qualified to supervise a group of children.

 Three staff have Montessori Diplomas and all the staff have ‘Introduction to Montessori’ certificates which they gained by attending five Saturday Montessori seminars.

 Staff are continually attending internally and externally organised training sessions, seminars, day courses and evening classes to revise and extend their knowledge.

 All staff are required to have a First Aid Certificate. Four have attended a four-day course.

 All staff involved in handling food are required to have a Food and Hygiene Certificate.

 The Special Educational Needs Coordinator has a Special Needs Certificate and regularly attends courses to extend her knowledge in this area, as does her assistant.
