Staff news
Well done to Amy on working hard to complete her level 3 qualification.
We would like to welcome Jade to our team. Jade has joined the Fledglings room and is working towards her qualification.
From February Becky-Lou will be covering maternity leave at our sister nursery in Long Sutton, during her time at Doves she will be gaining experience in SENCO. To cover Becky-Lou in the Eagles room we would like to welcome Bethan to our team, Bethan joined us last year as a butterfly and is popular with both staff and children.
Notice
One months notice of the withdrawal of a child from the nursery, or reduction in sessions must be given in writing (letter or email) or a full months fees in lieu of notice are payable. This does not include holidays, illness and temporary changes, these booked sessions are chargeable.
Tapestry
We hope all parents are enjoying viewing their child’s learning journal on Tapestry. If you would like to talk about your child’s development please speak to your child’s special person to arrange a suitable time for a chat. Please don’t forget to add your own observations too.
Collection & Arrivals
We would like to thank all our parents/carers who have adapted to our early arrivals and late collection policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation on this matter.
Can you also please be considerate of our neighbours when finding a place to park.
Holiday Club
Please speak to Becky or Louise if you would like to book any additional sessions during the holiday club. We ask that you please give us a minimum of 2 weeks notice for these additional sessions as we have limited spaces available. We are registered for children up to 8 years of age. If you have older siblings who would like to attend please speak to Becky or Louise about availability.
Reminders
Please can we remind everyone not to bring toys into nursery. They cause arguments and distractions and can sometimes be lost or broken causing unnecessary upset. Books and comforters are always welcome.
The nursery is a NUT FREE zone and any items brought in from home must NOT contain nuts. Several children within the nursery have a severe allergy to nuts which could potentially be life threatening.
Please can we also remind parents that children are required to wear school uniform in the Eagles and Owls. Our school uniform is a white polo shirt and grey trousers/dress with our nursery jumper which can be bought from the office at £8.50.
If you would like to come into the nursery to give a talk to the children regarding you job role please speak to a member of staff. We are always keen for our children to learn about everyday day life and the world.
Finally security is paramount within the nursery and we please ask that all parents ensure the doors are shut correctly when leaving the building.
