Doves located in Long Sutton was officially opened by the HRH The Duchess of Gloucester on 6th September 2010. After an extensive refurbishment at the old United Reformed Church we have a real child sized kitchen, toilet block with child-sized toilets and an ideal garden area.

Manager, Safeguarding Lead Practitioner: Christine B.A Early Years Practice, Certificate in Early Years Practice level 4, NVQ Early Years Care and Education level 3, Montessori Dip. Baby and Toddler, OCN Early Years Care and Education level 3, Diploma in Child Psychology

Christine joined us in 2001, she has many years experience in childcare. In addition to her impressive list of qualifications, Christine has attended numerous relevant short courses and has now achieved a degree with the open university. She originally started at our Terrington nursery working there for many years before becoming manager of our Doves nursery when it opened in 2010. She is full of enthusiasm and good ideas and above all shares our philosophy of treating children with respect and putting their needs first.

Deputy Manager, Teacher-in-charge, Safeguarding Lead Practitioner: Charlotte B.A (Hons) Education Studies and Art and Design, PGCE Primary (3-7)

Charlotte joined us in May 2010, having studied for 5 years at Bishop Grosseteste University College in Lincoln to qualify as a primary school teacher. During this time she has worked with and taught nursery age children, including those with additional educational needs and those with English as an additional language. Charlotte has a natural Montessori approach and loves sharing her interests with the children, and enjoys incorporating their interests into the nursery and their play.

SENCO, Nursery Assistant: Laura H EDI Level 3 Diploma Early Learning and Childcare

Laura originally trained as a make up artist, with additional training in special effects. However she has always wished to work with children. Laura joined the nursery at the beginning of 2011, swiftly gaining a level 3 qualification. Laura has become an important part of the nursery team bringing her creative skills with her. Laura is a keen auntie and enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew. She has recently had a baby boy and is enjoying spending time with him.

Nest Room Leader, Health and Safety Officer: Tori EDI Level 3 Childcare and Education

Tori joined us in December 2010 and has worked at both Terrington and Long Sutton Nurseries. She has always wanted a career in childcare, and is very passionate about her job. Tori is a valued member of the team and enjoys incorporating new ideas and concepts into the nursery, much to the children’s enjoyment. She enjoys spending time with her family and helping out with he nieces and nephews.

Nursery Assistant: Ann NVQ Level 3 Diploma Early Years Learning and Childcare

Ann joined us in 2004 and has many years experience working with babies.  The children adore her and her skill and sensitivity ensures that the children have a loving start.  She is popular with both colleagues and parents.  Ann is married with a grown up son and grandchildren.  Her interests include taking part in family activities, going for walks and spending quality time with her grandchildren.

SENCO, Nursery Assistant: Becky Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Childcare and Development

Becky started with us in August 2013 and has settled in well.  She is popular with both children and parents and has grown lots in confidence.  Becky is enthusiastic in learning about the Montessori Method and is currently the Nursery SENCo.  Her vibrant ideas and energetic approach aid in inspiring the children in their learning.  In her spare time she enjoys shopping and socialising with friends.

Nursery Assistant: Ellie NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Eduation

Ellie joined the nursery in 2004 as a student undergoing her Level 3 qualification and was soon snapped up by the nursery when she completed her course in 2016.  She is bubbly, friendly and enthusiastic with a natural Montessori approach.  Ellie has proven to be an invaluable staff member and spends her time between the Doves and Nest rooms.  She has a number of hobbies that she actively pursues including playing cricket and coaching children in gymnastics.

Nursery Assistant, Garden Monitor: Jess Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Certificate in Children’s Care, Learning and Development

Jess joined us in June 2014 and has always wanted a career in childcare.  She has had experience of working at both Long Sutton and Terrington nurseries and has proved popular with staff, children and parents at each setting.  Her positive, cool, calm and collective approach allows the children to flourish under her care.  Jess is currently in the process of completing her Level 3 in Childcare.  In her spare time Jess enjoys spending time with and caring for her nephew.

Hilary joined us in September 2000 and works at both nurseries continuing to provide support when we are short of staff.  She is a very highly valued member of our team – enthusiastic, happy, jolly and fun to be with – a really welcome ray of sunshine.  Hilary is well loved and very popular with staff and children.
